will release "s+m ( a love song)," the duo's first-ever single, on April 21

kidneythieves vocalist/lyricist Free Dominguez and multi-instrumentalist Bruce
M. Somers. Both cuts were mixed by Sean Beavan (Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn
Manson ) at Undercurrent Studios in LA. kidneytheives debut studio album will
be released this summer.
Stealing their moniker from the dreaded organ snatchers of modern-day
folklore, kidneythieves music is as dark, dramatic and mysterious as their
namesake. Combining Free's intense vocals with a maelstrom of pounding beats,
heavily compressed guitar and industrial sheets of sound, the pair defy easy
categorization. The selection of the decadent "s+m (a love song)" as their
first single perfectly represents the musical tension and though-provoking
lyrical dichotomies that characterize the kidneythieves work, right down to
the title of the song.

There are many people out there in society that dislike, don't appreciate, or flat out hate "Goth" kids. I'm one of them. This is why:
1. The misuse of the term "Goth"... 'gothic' refers to a certain time in European history, a history most popular when looked at an artist's point of view. (i.e. elaborate structures such as churches and buildings of similar importance in reference to the times) and 'Modonna and Child' paintings done in a characteristic of the times (sharp edges with harsh features, the 'baby Jesus' seemingly weightless in the arms of his mother).
2. The trendiness of the whole affair... most of the people I've met that regarded themselves as "Gothic" seem to have no problem dissolving their own individuality by dressing up just like their peers, black trench-coats, long black dresses, dyed black hair, gaudy necklaces, rings bigger than something a pimp might wear, and make-up that closely resembles Robert Smith's. For a group wishing to be different, you really just set trends for each other, in effect, "Goths" are like frat boys and sorority sisters from the other side of the same middle-class neighborhoods.
3. If the little Goth sub-group (vampires) were real and immortal, they would surely not be the coffee-house goth types that roam around clubbin' and hanging out at the park after hours... they would surely be in control of the government by now, using their infinite knowledge to improve this brutal world , or at least take control of this land so that vampires and gothy's could reign free.
4. If I were 223 years of age, (wich I am not, sadly, my mortal shell is 200 years YOUNGER) I would not be illiterate! I would at least be able to keep typo's from showing up in some obscure message board such as this... after all, I've had since the beginning of the typewriter to learn how to type, heh?
Thats about it. By the way, if there is anyone out there reading this who truly beleives themself to be immortal, please e-mail me so that I can make arrangments with you to prove otherwise...
