You need to sort and catorgise your thumbnails so vistors can see the five or six thumbnail examples and select to see more of that type.

Silly reason: Too long a load time frustrates and annoys viewers and as an artist you need to communicate the message of your pic,not that you have to wait for the message.

This is not a comment, but a request for help. I am in the process of scripting a thirty minute documentary attempting to examine the growing interest in vampire mythos throughout the eighties and nineties. I would be very interested to hear any comments or sugestions on the subject that people might feel is relevant.

What makes the Vampire so attractive?

How do you feel your life has been effected by this mythology, and why?

What does the Vampire represent as a sociological icon?

Is there a link to the gowing popularity of the Vampire and the modern paranioa about A.I.D.S.?

Is the facination with such a dark and foreboding creature symtematic of society's angst about the coming new melenium?

Please feel free to answer these, or any questions that interest you, or just drop me a line to chat about the subject. All information and comunications will be greatfully received, and answered A.S.A.P.

LOVE FOR EVER... Phil Gray Bournemouth 1996.

P.S. does anyone know how to get in contact with Ann Rice?

Hmmm, well I searched with Excite and entered something called LestatVamp or something (a truly blasphemeous name, but I forgive you, or who ever it was). I do love all the darklinks. Someone must know something about immortality, beyond that of the blabbering of the usless mortals of this pewtred little planet that shall be taken over soon.

Only the vampires, and immortals shall survive and rule. However, if my father knows that I just blabbed this across the worldwide-web, I will be surely put to eternal torture.

That is all!

from childhood's hour i have not been as other's were, i have not seen as others saw, i could not bring my passions from a common spring. from the same source i have not taken my sorrow, i could not awaken my heart to joy at the same tone, and all i lov'd, i lov'd alone. then, in the hour, in the dawn of a most stormy life was drawn, from every depth of good and ill, the mysteries which bind me still. from the torrent, or the fountain; from the red cliff of the mountain; from the sun which 'round me roll'd, in it's autumn tint of gold; from the lightning and the storm, and the cloud that took the form (while the rest of heaven was blue) of a demon in my view.

Why can I not explain myself to you I know the answer, but I do not fully understand it It is because I don't fully understand That there is no answer The answer is I love you and love is a very strong thing to say I'm scared of that word To me that is a powerful word Powerful beyond human imagination To me love is deeper than mankind understands "Pure Love" is not a term But is a term of which I can use A term for what love is Is this love pure I feel that it is not It is created from us But then again should it not be I feel that it is all just a game This "Love" is our creation All based on things that I have said And things of which you have said to me Even incidences and sometimes coincidences Things that have appened to us All in this relatively small amount of time A time in which we have met and dated A time in which we gotten to know one another But, do we really know one another I think I love you But I search for why So hopefully I will know I love you Is this "Pure Love" Possibly it is not But is it this search that makes it impure This talking to myself make it impure I do not know I will never fully understand But I cannot resist I spend alot of time thinking about it Talking to myself about it Could this make it pure I do not know I infuriate myself I hate myself I depress myself I take to much of my time I love myself So much that I cannot watch myself But I must The only way to keep going is to keep an eye on me I want to end it but I cannot Because I will not let myself When I stop trying to stop I will stop and when I stop I will therefore stop trying I keep searching for the answer The answer of my love Iwill never find it. The harder and deeper that I search The further I get entwined I keep searching for an end But there is no end In a way the end is the beginning And as I I keep searching for an end I get further and further from the beginning Which is what I searching for in the first place This here is the beginning and leading to an endless middle It is just a brief passing of thought and many more have passed as I wrote Because I cannot write as fast as i can think This will never end until I decide to let it But at time I will end I love you........................I think

A poem came to my attention..and I thought I might share it with the world..so to speak.. The following is copyright..Dayna Boyd...so no stealing!

Destiny

The guard appears "follow me" Your future awaits, you shall see A flagon, he carries across his shoulders hump back he slouches from carrying boulders His canines extensive dangerously cunning His eyes bloodshot, alive, stunning. 'This way' he grunts, towards the corridor.

You follow, armed, alert, and ready The hallway cold, dark and steady. The guard a shadow, an outline you make, Suspicious, a foot behind, here you would stake.

Minutes to hours, the endless strait, Your enegry drained, tired you lose faith. Your guard dropped, weary you slack The guard, steady footed he looks back You drop, to tired to flee A wicked smirk, he laughs in glee His eyes shimmer, red, ruby red. Now he would prey, prey on the dead. Exhausted you lay, your future decided. Death approaches, you choose to abide Your mind a blur, you do not care The painful agony, you wish not to be spared. Pulled out of this torment, death do you wish You lay motionless, dazed, alike a surfaced fish. He breathes upon you, you hear his roar. A loud dreadful growl, your body tore You feel his tusk, baring into your chest.

A sudden spurt of enegry, the wick you desire you know best Your adrenelin pumping, startled he seems You reach for your blade, his death you deem. His flagon appears, plunged deep into your leg Rage, burning rage, his head you peg Your first taste of blood, more you plead He cries in anxeity, dismissing his deed. He tries to flee, death he fears But his wounds, massive too severe He collapsses, supressed to his death ending his torment you take his last breath You pry upward so you can see Thrusting your knife, death it maybe He whimpers, his last lines, for now he would sleep A chipped flagon, an evil destiny all would he keep.

Death bleaches the air, blood plague

It is good to see fellow vampires on the Internet. I am called, by the way, Pyre. I would like to know how to join the vampires at the #Vampire Homepage. I do not know much about how to do things on the internet. Could you shoot me some info about how to join, and how to put a text and my picture in there? If you wish to respond, please title the subject of the e-mail "To Torreidor". Thank you.

Things are exciting here at haptek as well, We're still small, but we have a secretary and everything. It's so neat to be in on the start, when there's only like 7 guys (or um, 5 in our case) and see it grow. I hope we can survive the change from startup to giant. haha. We have a website but nuthin on it yet. Our avatars really are cool. I just got back from a year in London and I can tell ya' last time we thought about er, going to Planet Earth on Wed at Limelight we were quite disappointed to find that, though quite festive less than a year back that it's gone downhill and even in the middle of summer there was next to no one there. If you want to go out in London on a weeknight then, unless things have changed then PE-Limelight is not for you... but Gossips usually has something good afoot, particularly NIGHTbreed on Monday night. Just outside Leicester Squ Tube station there's usually a number of freaks handing out flyers for this club or that and if you ask you can sometimes get the straight dope ("This club I'm flyering for is shit but go get a flyer for _______ from that girl over there.")

Last night I dyed my gerbils blue... I used Kosco paste food coloring and painted it on with a toothpick. Luckily I was totally naked at the time because those two tend to get a bit nervous. They grab onto the toothpick and try to eat it, then run up my arm and leave pawprints over my shoulder and on my breast. They look great now that they've calmed down, but one could really use some more... (They both are now spotted blue, but the better one has splotches all over)

www.annerice.com

Anne has her own home page at this address.

My facination with vampires goes back to I don't even remember. But I am sure into many past lives. I feel so much "Metaphysical" truth hidden in the original stories. And especially in Anne Rices novels of witches and vampires. I also think for myself and others it is about living forever being out of the life of disease and daily cares. I love the romatic side of Lestat and even in the original Dracula. Some modern day vampires are just about killing and blood, I don't think that is anything but gore for the mass consciousness.

May we have more Anne Rice vampires!!

good Luck

By the way do you know that I get a warning from my computer not to download from you there can be real problems/virus's

Don't know why but maybe you can check it out.

I like this page a lot,m mostly for the resources on the dark side of REALITY. I wish that people weren't so afraid of blood so that the vampires could be considered better creatures than they are. What I find funny is that most people don't consider animals that eat others of their species(i.e. aligators and such) as evil as Vampires. Also, not all Gothics are bad, I resent the fact that my friends are all considered BAD, and weird, and All of them HAVE got to be satanic. Give me a break. The world is still too closed minded to deal with things that are out of their Norm.... Until the day when everyone can be excepted and happy.(never of course), Adrienne
