gothic.acs.csulb.edu was running the NCSA httpd when Rob McCool was still writing it. I even remember upgrading it to the new versions as they came out. The few NCSA httpd out there running now are probably because people like myself were happily installing them at various universities and they've never been upgraded or removed.

When I was upgrading to IIS 4 on a NT box, it mentioned that the "gopher" protocol was nolonger supported. Oh no! No more gopher?! Course I've not seen a gopher:// url in ages. Which prompted me to recall that CSULB ran a gopher server. So of course I decided to see if its was still there. It was.
