S&B and The Cure

S&B used to tour with the Cure back in the early days of both bands.
They decided to do this because their sound was so similar. Robert
originally joined only to fill in on guitar during a concert, which for
one reason or another became permanant. After working on an album with
S&B Robert Smith decided it was time to concentrate more on the Cure,
and that ended their connection.
BTW, I've noticed quite a few rips on the Cure, but I have to agree
with Robert and Siouxsie's initial assessment that the bands' sounds are
similar. "Shadowtime" and "Just Like Heaven" have an extremely similar
sound (the way they both slowly add instruments at the beginning, the
instruments they use). You can disagree if you want, but I don't think
another band comes nearly as close to either band as they do to each
other.
