S&B: sharing my good fortune

Happy New Year!

Back in December, I queried all of you regarding a mirrored CD, as to its
authenticity and value, due to my being access to it, but not being in
close proximity to it.

As it turns out, the CD is, in fact, a promo, release by Geffen (USA), of
Superstition. How it ended up from the US into a used CD place in
Edinburgh is anyone's guess.

The CD is the regular US pressing, with the number being slightly
different and having PROMOTIONAL written across it. There is a ribbon to
ease removal from the box (via the hole in the middle), revealing a
leaflet, containing a few generic photos of the group (from the normal
album leaflet)---no lyrics. The box, however, is to die for. It is
encased in a round cardboard case, the bottom and side(s) of which are
pink. The top is a mirror, with a few thin white lines painted on it to
simulate a few cracks, and a 3/4 circle drawn a half inch from the
perimeter, with a single capital S, at the top (middle) of the arc.

Promo CD's usually attempt to be unique, but Siouxsie's promoters/ad-men
definitely take the cake with this one.
