I just got information on a video mail list of live videos from various artists
from a guy in the UK, so i said i'd share the info.
Bands included on the list are the Siouxsie & the Banshees, the creatures,
the sisters of mercy, the mission, the cure, nick cave etc. etc.
(there's even a Live Glove performance from the Riverside TV show from '82 )
You pick what you want, by what ever artist you want and he compiles videos
from a list you give him.
I've ordered a 4 hour tape that includes: siouxsie & the banshees live in
the Albert Hall London '88 and Paris'91, along with some other European/US
TV appearances by the banshees from '79 to '87.
I know from experience the quality of video varies a lot, but there is a
rating (poor, good, very good, excellent etc) accompanying every video clip on
the list. Some of the live shows, from the Kaleidoscope tour are taped from TV
and are very good/excellent quality ( I have some of these already ).
Some shows (six banshees & three creatures shows) are taped from the audience,
so these may be poorer quality. The above Paris & London shows are both
audience recordings, but I'll take my change.
I know the video format is different in Europe & the US, but many new video
recorders can be switched to play either format.
I'll let you know what the quality is like when I get the video.
